Find Volunteers Who Love the Arts
Are you looking to:
- Be everywhere at once for your events this season?
- Access hundreds of business people interested in arts and culture?
- Reinvigorate your volunteer pool?
Whether you're looking for extra hands for an upcoming event or searching for volunteers to help with an upcoming mailing, Business On Call is a great way to find the help you need.
What Business On Call offers
From New Castle County, Delaware to Princeton, New Jersey and everywhere in between, Business On Call volunteers can assist with staffing information and registration tables, taking tickets, directing visitors, monitoring silent auctions and much more.
Facilitated online and through email, you never even have to leave your desk. Our weekly email update is delivered directly to the inboxes of our 600+ participating volunteers.
Business On Call is a simple and easy way to access people interested in the arts who provide the volunteer support you've been searching for. Business On Call has the biggest impact with hands-on, short-term activities lasting 2-4 hours on a weeknight or weekend. (Some call this episodic volunteering.) Participants are looking to have fun while making a difference, and often return again and again to an arts organization, after volunteering only once.
Most Business On Call volunteer opportunities fall into one of the following areas:
- Ushering at a theatre, musical, or symphony performance
- Greeting patrons
- Staffing a ticketing area, will call, or membership booth
- Silent Auction monitoring and check-out assistance
- Spotting and recording for a Live Auction
- Demonstrating simple arts and crafts or games
- Clearing and maintaining natural trails and parks
- Surveying program attendees
- Selling raffle tickets
- Distributing marketing materials to your premade list
- Helping set-up and monitor the food tables
- Bartending
- Pre-event setup
Is Business On Call right for your organization?
Business On Call is available to all nonprofit arts, cultural, and historical organizations in the Greater Philadelphia Region, from small to large, from emerging to well-established. Organizations requesting Business On Call support should be willing to designate one point person who will complete several online forms and follow up with each registering volunteer to confirm their participation. Business On Call requests should be optimally made 4-6 weeks in advance.
How to apply

Fee
Arts and cultural organizations pay an annual administrative fee to the Arts & Business Council for Business On Call volunteer support. You will be invoiced once volunteers register for your event.
