Find Volunteers Who Love the Arts
Whether you're looking for extra hands for an upcoming event or searching for volunteers to free up your staff, Business On Call is a great way to find the help you need.
How do we do this? We partner with companies in the region to engage their workforce to volunteer with our arts clients. Our program is strong because volunteers choose whom they want to volunteer with and how often they'd like to participate.
Business On Call has the biggest impact with hands-on, short-term activities such as ushering at theatre performances, helping at galas, festivals and much more. (Some call this episodic volunteering.) Our weekly email update is delivered directly to the inboxes of our 600+ participating volunteers.

helpful Tips
From making requests to receiving volunteers, you'll find utilzing Business On Call simple and easy. Once you're a participating organization:
- Complete your request for volunteers 4-5 weeks prior to the event. It is promoted on Business On Call's online schedule of events to 600+ Business On Call volunteers.
- Make your volunteer opportunity/request is interesting. It might be the first introduction a volunteer has to your organization, so be informative and inviting.
- When volunteers sign up for your event, all volunteer registrations will be sent via email to the designated volunteer coordinator at your organization.
- Follow up with each volunteer to confirm their participation, introduce them to the organization, and answer any questions about the event. If volunteers don't hear from you, they will assume their assistance is not needed and will not be at the event. A phone call or email is usually all it takes to confirm volunteer's registration.
- A day before your event, send an email reminder with final details to the Business On Call volunteers registered for your event.
