Mission
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia helps drive the cultural vitality and economic development of the Greater Philadelphia Region by strengthening the partnership between business and the arts and cultural community.
Why Arts and Business
The arts cannot go it alone nor can business. But business and arts working closely together:
- Support a culturally rich and diverse region.
- Contribute to a strong quality of life.
- Drive economic development.
- Stimulate creativity and innovation in companies and the community.
- Build a foundation of skills for the workforce of the future.
Affiliations
Since the Council began in 1981, we have been fortunate to be an affiliate of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
The Council is also a chapter of the national Arts & Business Council of Americans for the Arts,which includes a network of Arts & Business Council affiliates across the United States. Additionally, organizations in other countries provide a link between business and the arts.
These relationships give the Council access to international, national and regional trends and issues, contributing to the breadth and value of the services we offer in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
