Barnes Foundation

On June 7, 2011, with attendance of over 80, our volunteers and their guests were treated to happy hour refreshments and socializing in the residence building at the Barnes Foundation in Merion.
They then moved to the main galleries for an exclusive look at the plans for the Barnes move to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This presentation by Diana Duncan, Senior Vice-President of External Affairs, included renderings of both the new gallery and garden spaces.
Our volunteers then had the opportunity to venture through the galleries, where docents providing guided viewing.
(In order to preserve the Barnes Foundation's collection photography in the main building is not allowed.)
